Northeast Land Management, LLC was established by Phillip Manning. He received his education at Penn State University, earning a B.S. degree in Wildlife Science and a M.S. in Forest Biometrics. His master's thesis included developing stand-level statistical models for estimating sawtimber growth and yield in Pennsylvania. His experience includes working as a research assistant with Penn State University providing statistical and operations research support to the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry's harvest scheduling and resource inventory programs. He has also worked with wildlife research projects including a study to determine the effects of calcium availability on forest bird communities. More recently, he has been employed by the USDA-NRCS implementing agricultural and natural resource management conservation practices and cost-share programs.
